Roane County mask mandate to expire March 31st

Roane County Executive Ron Woody announced this week that the mask mandate that he issued in November will be allowed to expire.

In an update shared on his Facebook page and in a press release, Woody says that with case counts declining and vaccine availability expanding, the mask mandate will be allowed to expire on March 31st.

Masks will still be required in the Roane County Courthouse, where the State Supreme Court sets the rules.
