Boy killed in Wednesday accident

A nine-year old boy was killed in a tragic accident late Wednesday afternoon in the Sugar Hollow area of Campbell County.

While few details have been released, preliminary reports indicate that the child was attempting to retrieve a soccer ball from under a piece of construction equipment when it fell on the boy, causing fatal injuries.

The incident occurred shortly before 6 pm Wednesday, and when more information becomes available, we will pass it along to you.
