Roane man sentenced to 120 years

Last week, a Roane County man was sentenced to 120 years in prison following his conviction on charges of child rape.

40-year-old John Paul Little was convicted after a jury trial in December on four counts of child rape. He was sentenced to 30 years in prison on each count and ordered to serve those terms consecutively. Little has been behind bars since early 2016 after his conviction on drug charges, and the sentences for the rapes will not begin until that time has been served.

Prosecutors say Little began to abuse the now-14-year-old victim when she was five years old and continued until she was nine.
