The Anderson County Sheriff’s office says that Communications Deputy Lawrence E. “Larry” Marlow, Jr. passed away suddenly on Monday, December 7, at his home in Oak Ridge at the age of 54. According to a release from the Sheriff’s Department, Deputy Marlow was a veteran dispatcher serving in public safety communications for over thirty years. In his career Deputy Marlow served with several agencies including Knox County 911, the Oak Ridge Police Department, the Tennessee Highway Patrol, and the Anderson County Sheriff’s Department. He was well-known throughout the community as a true professional. The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 12 from 12:00 Noon until 2:00pm at Harp Funeral Home, 572 South Main Street, in Jellico. Graveside services will follow at the family cemetery.
