3 complete Basic Regional Law Enforcement training

The Anderson County Sheriff’s Department is proud to announce three members of the department recently graduated from the Blount County Sheriff’s Office Basic Regional Law Enforcement Academy. Deputies Sharon Baird, Zach Bates, and Matt Landis completed an intensive eleven week course designed to prepare them for their law enforcement duties on patrol with the Anderson County Sheriff’s Department. Deputy Baird has been with the ACSD since 2004 and has served in corrections, transportation and civil process. Deputy Bates, who is also an Anderson County Commissioner, has been with the department since 2010 and has served as a reserve deputy and a court security officer. Deputy Landis has been with the ACSD as a reserve deputy since 2014. All three will be assigned to patrol duties in the coming weeks.
